Ways to Vote

It is extremely important to VOTE in order to elect Kansas Democrats, protect our pro-choice judges, and stop the state Legislature's power grab. You must be registered to vote at your current address in order to participate in any election. Verify your voter registration status ksvotes.org, and see the ways to submit your ballot below.

BY MAIL

EARLY IN PERSON

ELECTION DAY

Per Kansas law, early in-person voting must always be available for at least one week before election day. It is usually available a full 20 days before election days in Douglas County. (20 is the maximum allowable period)

Douglas County residents may vote early in person at the following location:

Douglas County Elections Office

711 W. 23rd St, Suite 1

Lawrence, KS 66046

Voting hours are 7am-7pm at the Douglas County Elections Office and at your polling place. You must be in line by 7pm to vote.

You must apply to receive a mail-in ballot. You may submit your application online at ksvotes.org or by filling out this paper form and submitting it to the

Ballots will be sent out. Your ballot must be returned or postmarked by Election Day. You can return it by mail, at the county elections office listed above, or submit it in one of the following ballot drop-boxes by 7pm on Election Day.
